What do I need to bring for the first class?

Boxing gloves, hand wraps, bottle of water, small towel. If you have boxing gloves and hand wraps please bring them. If not, for your first trial we will provide some loaners.  You will sweat. Depending on the temperature you might sweat a lot. Be prepared.

Do you have classes for kids?

Absolutely! We have programs starting as early as 4 years old. Check it out!

Question 3

Can I spar my friends?

No, the gym is for gym members training and amatuers and professionals training. If, after several weeks of training and coach sees you are fit for sparring, then and only then will you be sparring under the supervision of an in-house coach.

Do you train girls?

Yes!
We have a Women's only boxing program great for beginners or women looking for a safe space amongst girls to train. We also have several female members in all our programs, regular boxing, jiu jitsu, kickboxing etc. Looking to take it up a notch? We have amateur and pro female boxers coming out of Sweet Science gym also. Whatever your comfort level and training level - we've got you.

Do you train pros?

Yes, we train boxers of all levels from beginners to professionals. We have hosted World Champions, had sparring sessions between the biggest names in boxing and compete on a regular basis in amatuers and pros. Our fight team consists of over 20 amateur boxers and numerous pro boxers all coming out of Sweet Science Gym.

Do you rent the gym or ring for private events?

Accepted Answer

We will rent to movie or music production companies and boxing/martial art seminars only. No private parties, unsanctioned boxing matches or MMA smokers.

What if I don't want to compete?

You do not have to compete to be a part of Sweet Science. You can simply take the classes, work with the coaches and train like a fighter. That is a big portion of our gym members. Fitness enthusiasts who enjoy learning martial arts and sweating while doing so.
 
If a person wishes to compete, we try to provide the best mentorship and guidance in their fighting career, if not, we are still happy to train them and welcome them to our gym.

We actively compete with USA Boxing, Jiu-Jitsu Tournaments, Kickboxing and Muay Thai events as well as MMA.
